ELIXIR unites Europe’s leading life science organisations in managing and safeguarding the increasing volume of data being generated by publicly funded research. It coordinates, integrates and sustains bioinformatics resources across its member states and enables users in academia and industry to access services that are vital for their research.
Platform: It consists of five groups, created in accordance with the objectives of ELIXIR in order to carry out the tasks undertaken by ELIXIR effectively.
Data, Tools, Compute, Intererability, Training.
Communities: Groups created by the scientific community. Their responsibilities include providing feedback on the usefulness of the services provided by the Platforms.
